Financial astrology

Financial astrology is the practice of relating the movements of heavenly bodies to events in financial markets. Financial astrology can be applied in the following ways: 1. Predict major economic trends as they relate to certain cycles,specifically on the cycles of outer planets 2. Helps an investor find the best industry to be in for a particular period of time based on major planetary configurations 3. Choose the best stocks to own during a particular time period 4. Find the best date and time to buy and to sell a stock

The practice carries the implicit belief that astrology is valid and influences human behaviour. Although this idea is generally regarded in mainstream Western thought as having no logical basis, advocates of the efficient markets hypothesis would make the same claim with respect to technical analysis, while technical analysts might in turn make the same claim about analysis based on observable market fundamentals.

Almost all Financial astrologers were able to successfully combine astrology with technical and fundamental analysis. Even W.D. Gann, the so-called "Father of financial astrology" was a technical analyst himself.

Meteorological astrology

Meteorological astrology is the practice of using the placements of the Sun, Moon and planets in the sky to predict the weather. Such practices have an element of truth in them because the Moon is known to affect the oceanic tides and sunspots are known to affect meteorological activity on the Earth.
