Sex magic (or sexual magic, sex magick, etc.) is the use of sexuality for the purpose of theurgy, magick or other spiritual pursuits.

This branch of magic takes many forms but always involves a preparation of a proper and sacred atmosphere (as with other magic), pre-cleansing of the body and mind, banishment of evil prior to beginning the ritual, focusing upon the ritual or outcome, climax, post-ritual celebration and giving thanks and praise to the goddess and god figures.
Sex magic can be practiced solo, as a couple or as a group. One particularly interesting form of ritualistic sex magic is based upon the polyandry concept of one female having sexual relations with two or more males during a single ritual and allowing their semen to mix within her body. The conceptual basis for this ritual is that semen is believed by many to be a most powerful magical fluid. When mixed with the semen of others, its power increases exponentially.
In some quarters, it is believed that this form of magic works through the powerful release of psychic energy at the moment of orgasm. The magus deliberately prolongs the arousal phase and delays orgasm for as long as possible. When the orgasm occurs, it is accompanied by intense visualisation of the desired outcome.
One of the popular methods for working sex magic is as follows:

• One relaxes his or her mind and body using any suitable relaxation technique.
• One uses erotica or a partner to attain sexual arousal.
• One then holds or intensifies this state of arousal for a prolonged period of time (30 to 60 minutes).
• Without losing the erection or arousal, or visualises the desired outcome of his or her magical working (the erection/arousal can be retained through manual stimulation either by oneself or his or her partner).
• Have an orgasm.
• As one's body goes into a state of post-orgasmic relaxation, one expresses (either mentally or aloud) your heartfelt gratitude for the fulfilment of one's wish/desire.

The process described above is very similar to the controversial methods advocated and used by Aleister Crowley. Some critics claim that this body of beliefs may be psychologically dangerous or offensive and that these rituals may be characteristic of a cult.
While some practicioners shun the use of psychoactive substances as adjuncts to this work, Crowley used many such substances in a ritual context and a subset of those on this path utilize drugs such as LSD and DMT in rituals of trancendant spiritual and erotic ecstasy.

Samael Aun Weor

The crux of Samael Aun Weor's teachings is what he calls white sexual magic, the paramount tenet of which is to conclude the act of coition without orgasm or ejaculation from either the man or woman.[1] Thus, instead of the sexual energy being released in a tantric spasm, this energy undergoes sexual transmutation via willpower and the sacrifice of desire.[2] It is asseverated that the magentic induction produced by crossing the active and passive creative organs - namely the phallus and uterus - causes lunar, solar and akasahic currents to flow through the Brahmanic cord (the ida, pingala and sushumna respectively) of the couple.[3][4] This current provides an active connection between magentic center at the root of the nose (pineal gland, Ajna chakra) and solar and lunar principles located within the seminal system at the muladhara chakra.[5] The transmuted energy, through willpower, is populated by "billions christic atoms"[2] that when rising meet the pure akasa of the triune Brahmanic cord, igniting it and through many years of work causing the ascent of the kundalini through the thirty-three chambers or degrees (33°) of the spinal medulla.[2][6]
Along with the asent of the kundalini, the crystalization of the "Solar Bodies" are formed due to the transmutation occured through white sexual magic.[7][8] The solar bodies are the four aspects of the sacred Merkabah of Arcanum Seven.[9] In sum the solar bodies are the christic vechiles of emotion, mind and will.[10] Furthermore, because sexuality is both a creator and destroyer, à la Shiva-Shakti, through sexual magic Samael Aun Weor indicates that one can eliminate any previously comprehended psychological defect.[3] In other words, through sexual magic the radical removal of the egocentric vechiles can be achieved - which are the animalistic or inferior vechiles of emotion, mind, and will related to one's evolutive animal transmigrations prior to reaching the humaniod state.[11] Thus, through the death of the ego and the birth of the solar bodies Samael Aun Weor states that one can be elevated to the angelic state and beyond.[12]
Vocalization of mantras can be utlized during "chemical copula" (sexual magic) to enhance the ascention of transmutated sexual energy through the spinal nadis. The supreme mantra of white sexual magic is IAO, which is the name of God among the Gnostics. This mantra is prounced as the 'e' in 'tree', the 'a' as in 'alone', and 'o' as in 'origin', with each vowel elongated in order to vibrate the layranx effectively.[13] The act of white sexual magic must be performed in absoulte sanctity and with supreme religiosity, without any desire present in the mind. It should be praticed as a high magic, as a religious ritual of the highest degree.[14]
Samael Aun Weor asserts that when the orgasm is reached the christic atoms are expelled and replaced, via genital orgasmic contraction, with impure "atoms" of fornication.[15] When, through willpower the akasic current meets the atoms of fornication, instead of rising, the energy is rejected by divine triad (atman-buddhi-manas) and is forced downwardly into the atomic infernios of the human being, forming the tail of satan (the kundabuffer, or negatively polarized kundalini). The repition of this act in time divorces the divine triad from the inferior quaternary (physical, vital, astral and mental bodies) through the severing of the antakarana. Samael Aun Weor refers to any type of sexual magic that contains the orgasm as black sexual magic, and those who perform it as black magicians that acquire negative tantric powers.[16][17]
